Good justification is more than stretching spaces until both margins align. A paragraph reads best when its lines break together, as a family: hyphenation carries long words across lines, punctuation hangs quietly into the margin, and no single line is left to absorb the damage of a stubborn word above it. Browsers decide one line at a time; the Knuth–Plass algorithm running here considers the whole paragraph at once.
